Virtual Crops ~ A Great Way to Challenge Your Creative Self!

I spent last Saturday from 9:00 a.m. until 6:00 p.m. involved in a virtual crop. What is a virtual crop? It’s an online crop hosted by someone or a company. Mine was hosted by Creative Memories, and every 2 hours they challenged the participants to create pages using a certain format, a certain embellishment, etc. It was a blast!

Here are some of the pages I created from their challenges. Hopefully it inspires you to think outside of your typical scrapbook layouts. (Even I get stuck in a rut of creating very similar pages).

First challenge: Create a double page layout using more than 12 pictures.

Next challenge: Create a double page layout using this specific design: 3 pictures left, 3 pictures right, title left, journaling box bottom right, embellishment on left side.

Another challenge: Create a layout using only red, white, and black

I didn’t need the full two hours for each challenge, so inbetween I created more pages that I will upload to another post.

Hope this inspires you to create some out-of-your-comfort-zone layouts! Craft on!
